About Me

Richard Paustian, MD received his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed his internal medicine internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases and Adult Echocardiography.

Dr. Paustian is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions and the American Society of Echocardiography.

He has been in practice in Helena since 1983. He has served as the Medical Director of Medicare part B for the State of Montana and is a former Governor for the American College of Cardiology for the State of Montana.

Dr. Paustian enjoys hiking, running (having completed more than 20 marathons), fishing, skiing and computer technology (where he is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.)
