Randy Kjorstad, M.D.
Randy Kjorstad, M.D., is the Medical Director of Trauma and the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery Program at St. Peter’s.
He earned his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Kjorstad is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
As a General Surgeon, he performs minimally invasive surgery: colon/small bowel, hernia, gallbladder, bariatric, stomach, adrenal, anti-reflux, thyroid, thoracic, lung and spleen; and trauma and acute care surgery. Dr. Kjorstad also performs cancer surgery for colon and rectal, intestinal, breast, melanoma, thyroid, and lymphoma.
Dr. Kjorstad earned a bronze star medal for actions in combat while deployed to Afghanistan with the U.S. Army.
