Annual Stocking Sew is December 3

Date: 11/26/12

The St. Peter’s Hospital Association is seeking volunteers to help create stockings for patients who are hospitalized over the upcoming holidays. Assistance is also needed to sew large stockings that are given to babies born during December to travel home.

The sewing, cutting, and gluing will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, in St. Peter’s Education Center and continue until the stockings are completed. Those who are interested in assisting should bring a sewing machine and scissors; all other supplies and lunch will be provided. For more information, call Arlene Matthews at 442-2165.

The Association is a volunteer organization that was formed in 1921 to support St. Peter’s Hospital in providing healthcare services. All the money raised by the Association is given to the Hospital and every year the Association membership votes on how to allocate the funds raised to support priority needs at St. Peter’s. Since its inception, the Association has raised more than one-half million dollars for hospital services.
