Same Day Services
If you have not already pre–registered with the Admitting Department
before your surgery.
The Ambulatory Surgery Department serves non-critical, stable patients who are scheduled for procedures such as colonoscopy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, PH and Manonmetry studies, pre– and post–surgical care, pre– and post–cardiac catheterization care, pre– and post–X–ray sedation, and outpatient infusion administration.
The day of surgery, please check in at St. Peter’s reception desk located in the main lobby of the Hospital. A volunteer will escort you to Same Day Services where you will be prepared for your surgical procedure. This process should take approximately one hour. After surgery, you will be taken to either a room on the Surgical Floor for an overnight stay or back to Same Day Services if you are to be released the same day.
St. Peter’s Hospital also provides patients with information on Advanced Directives, medical documents indicating preferences for care, with specific documents including a Living Will and a Medical Durable Power of Attorney. Use the link to the right for more information on Advanced Directives.
For your own protection, St. Peter’s requests that you limit the amount of personal property you bring to the Hospital. Please do not bring any valuables.
St. Peter’s is committed to providing exceptional care and excellent service. If there is anything staff can do to make your stay more comfortable, please talk to your nurse. You may receive a survey in the mail following your procedure. Please return the survey to let us know how we are doing so we can improve our service. And, if we are providing very good care, please let us know.
