Behavioral Health Unit Positions

Nurse Manager

St. Peter’s Hospital Behavioral Health Unit is seeking a Nurse Manager for our distinct Adult and Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatric Units, comprised of 22  total beds. The position Requires an MSN, or BSN with commensurate experience, and 3-5 years Charge, Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager experience in an acute inpatient psych setting.

Registered Nurse:
The RN executes comprehensive nursing care activities and provides nursing staff leadership. He/she assesses patient needs, plan and implements patient care activities, and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment. He/she manages activities within the therapeutic milieu and directs the delivery of nursing care by other members of the nursing treatment team. The ideal candidate completes position responsibility by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame and at an acceptable level. The ideal candidate demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication, he/she works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Apply >
 
Certified Nurse Assistant:
The CNA is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provides various patient care activities and non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Must be capable of physically assisting patients, dealing with emergencies, and working as a member of a clinical team. The ideal candidate completes position responsibility by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame and at an acceptable level. Mental Health Technician:
 The MHT is a member of multidisciplinary treatment team and provides support for the patient’s therapeutic treatment plan. Primary responsibilities include observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reporting this information to the Staff Registered Nurse. Must be capable of physically assisting patients, dealing with patient emergencies, and working as a member of a clinical team. The ideal candidate completes position responsibility by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame and at an acceptable level.
