St. Peter’s Approach to Children’s Care

Whether you’re getting ready to welcome your first baby into the world or wondering about the best way to treat your toddler’s ear infection, we're proud to offer peace of mind to parents throughout our community through reliable, comprehensive care for your family no matter when it's needed.

We are home to Helena's only Labor and Delivery Unit, offer inpatient pediatric care and employ the area's most robust team of Family Medicine providers who work with care teams at two convenient clinic locations to offer long-term, personalized care for the entire family.

Comprehensive Children’s Services Care at St. Peter’s

  • Family Medicine, Pediatrics and Gynecology: St. Peter’s Health Medical Group family medicine providers and their care teams are available to care for infants, toddlers, adolescents and school–age children at two different clinic locations. Well child exams are offered along with immunizations and treatment for illnesses such as ear infections, colds, flu and other childhood diseases. Family physicians can also provide referrals to specialists as needed.
  • Obstetrics: The St. Peter's Health Obstetrics team offers the best in maternity care, from family planning to prenatal and childbirth care. Our robust team is committed to providing the most up-to-date care. And, most importantly, being there for you for your entire journey, from your first appointment to labor and delivery and beyond.
  • Labor and Delivery: The Labor and Delivery care team at St. Peter's Health cherishes its work ensuring the birth experience allows you to take an active role in baby's care from the beginning in a safe, supportive environment. Our family-centered care focus includes offering each family a private birthing suites with in-room Jacuzzis and access to the care team of your choice.
  • Pediatric Inpatient services: Post-surgical and acute inpatient pediatric is provided to our youngest community members (aged 0-18 years) by registered nurses trained in pediatric care. Providing family-oriented care is a high priority in the pediatrics department, and a family member is encouraged to remain with the hospitalized child.
