Cardiac Rehabilitation

With a physician's referral, our cardiac rehabilitation team of healthcare professionals develops a program specifically for patients who have experienced an acute myocardial infarction, angina and for those who have had coronary artery bypass surgery of angioplasty.

A personalized program includes an exercise plan designed for the patient's particular needs along with education on the importance of diet, controlling cholesterol, blood pressure and weight, and eliminating the use of tobacco.

By participating in St. Peter's Cardiac Rehabilitation program, people with heart disease can:

Our cardiac program includes:

  • One-hour exercise sessions held three times a week
  • Regular evaluations
  • Treatment plans that are updated monthly

Patients are eligible for the program up to 12 months after their diagnosis or procedure.
