2006 Gala Theme and Chair Announced

The 2006 St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation Gala “Black & White” held on October 14th was a resounding success. The theme renewed the elegance of the first Gala held in 1991 with guests in formal black and white attire with a touch of color here and there. The Volunteer Gala Task Force that coordinates the Gala was led by Chair, Pam Schindler. Prior to the event, Pam stated, “This will be the best Gala ever!” And she was right. There was a record-setting number of guests and sponsors, along with record-setting revenue. The one-night event’s profit exceeded $110,000.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Foundation’s mission of funding care that would not otherwise be there. This year’s proceeds will help the Hospital to install a Digital Mammography Imaging System, technology to support early detection – and early treatment – of beast cancer.

In the recent past, the Gala benefited the purchase of an automated medication system, the expansion of the Cancer Treatment and Dialysis Centers, and improvements to the Cardiac Imaging Technology at St. Peter’s Hospital. For seventeen years, the community and business leaders of the Helena area have supported this event raising nearly $1 million to ensure the best healthcare for our friends and families.
