Alzheimer's Support Group: The needs of Alzheimer's families are great. This support group is one way to lighten some of the burden of this devastating disease, for family caregivers and patients. Group meets monthly on the second Tuesday and Thursday of the month from 7-9 p.m. at 900 N. Montana (Professional Plaza). Please call Cindy Stevick at 431-0452 with any questions.

Better Breathers: This is a support group for people who have (lung disease) breathing problems. Family members are welcome. Group meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month. Please call Pulmonary Rehabilitation at 447-2622 with any questions.

Caring Parents: A nurturing, supportive environment for sharing your feelings and thoughts about the loss of your child. Please call Jane Wood at 447-5796 with any questions.

Grief Support Group: Hospice of St. Peter's is sponsoring a 7-week grief support group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. The focus of the group is to provide participants the opportunity to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences with others who have also suffered a very significant loss in their lives. Topics of discussion include the grief process, the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of grief, self care, and coping with holidays and other significant days. The group is for adults, free of charge and open to the public. Group size is limited and registration is required. Eating Disorder Support Group: Group meets on Wednesday in the Medical Staff Services Conference Room. Please call Allison, 439-6935 with any questions.

Head Injury Support: The Head Injury Support Group was started for family members and head injury survivors who shared a common need for emotional and moral support unique to the problems of brain injury. The group provides support, information and education in an informal setting. Group meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month. Please call Bobbie at 443-7783 with any questions.

Inch by Inch Program: "For people at risk for diabetes and cardiovascular disease a 16 week eating and lifestyle class". Contact Your Physician for a referral or call Yvonne Tapper Gardzina at 444-2386 for information

Men Surviving Cancer: A support group for men who have or have had cancer. Group meets weekly on Tuesdays, at noon. Please call Rev. Jim Shelden at 447-2409 with any questions.

Parkinson's Support Group: A friendly support system made up of Parkinson Disease patients and their families, we share understanding and awareness. Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month. Please call Connie Levequie at 457-4343 with any questions.

Women Surviving Cancer Support Group: A support group for women who have or have had cancer. Group meets weekly on Wednesdays at noon at St. Peter's Hospital Room 1. Please call Janis Ahlstrom at 444-2192 or send a message to jahlstrom@stpetes.org for further information.

Pregnancy Loss Support Group: Meets the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7-9 p.m. at St. Mary's Church. Please call 444-2250 (Terri Temple).

Mended Hearts, Inc., Helena Chapter #96:
All heart patients, their families and friends are welcome to attend Mended Hearts monthly meetings. The group meets at 7 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month (excluding July and August) at The Waterford, 9145 Saddle Drive in Helena. The purpose of Mended Hearts is to offer help, support, and encouragement to heart disease patients and their families. Remember that visiting is Mended Hearts' top priority to support and encourage patients and families.
