Location:
St. Peter's Hospital; check room monitors for location A 12-hour, 2 day instructional program August 6 & 7 from 9am-4pm both days for youth ages 11-13. Topics include how to deal with medical emergencies, what to do when a child chokes, responsibilities, safety, babysitting as a business, and age appropriate entertainment. Students must pass a written exam and rescue breathing/choking on a mannequin in order to receive certificate of completion.
Fee: $50. Enrollment is limited. Scholarships avalilable upon request: call 444-2130 or e-mail mbartley@stpetes.org for more information. Scholarships take 3-4 weeks to process.
If a student misses class without advance notice replacement classes and refunds cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the demand for this class.
