A 12 hour, 2 day instructional program for youth ages 11-13. Topics include how to deal with medical emergencies, babysitting as a business, age appropriate entertainment, how to handle a choking child, responsibilities and safety. Students must pass a written exam and demonstrate rescue breathing/choking on a mannequin. Students must attend both days.

Cost is $50/student and scholarships are available upon request. Scholarship requests take 3-4 weeks to process so please allow time.

Enrollment is strictly limited and refunds or class re-schedules cannot be guaranteed for missed classes.

Colorectal Cancer Lecture

Frankly Speaking About Colorectal Cancer is a free workshop for colorectal cancer patients, their loved ones and the greater community. Topics include current treatments, side-effect management strategies, social and emotional challenges and survivorship issues. The workshop will be presented by Ken May, M.D., Ph.D., of Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center, Kari Parmer, R.N., Nurse Navigator at St. Peter’s Hospital and Justin Short, MSW, MPH from Cancer Support Community Montana.

Frankly Speaking About Colorectal Cancer is sponsored by Cancer Support Community Montana, a non-profit dedicated to providing support and education to people affected by cancer.

2012 Gala: The Enchanted Forest

The 22nd annual St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation Gala theme is “Enchanted Forest,” which will include an elegant evening filled with fine dining, a hosted bar, auctions and dancing to the live music of Soul Patrol.

Live and silent auction items include original artwork, trips near and far, golf events, home décor and special surprise items. Raffle tickets for two original jewelry pieces, a sapphire ring and pendant by Eaton Turner gallery, will be available that evening and can also be purchased in advance. Celebrate Your Survivor

St. Peter’s mammographers will be donating their time to give tours of the mammography department and answer questions. Cancer survivors are encouraged to invite friends and family members who have not yet had a mammogram to learn about early detection and gain other helpful information regarding breast health. Light refreshments will be served.
