Emergency Medicine

Emergency Physician Andy Coil, DO, comes to Helena from St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio, where completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine.

Christopher Eixenberger, M.D., joined St. Peter’s Emergency Department in September 2012. He came to Helena from Westbrook, Maine, where he has been serving as Assistant Medical Director for the Westbrook Fire Department.

Mark Rabold, MD is board-certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Rabold earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis and completed his ER residency at William Beaumont Hospital.

Dr. Rabold enjoys horseback riding, hunting, fishing, skiing, and travel.  He climbed Mt. Everest in 1993 and is one of a few to have climbed the highest peaks on all seven continents.

Andrew Michel, M.D. came to St. Peter's from Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, New York.

Dr. Michel completed his residency in emergency medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Penn. and earned his medical degree at State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors in research. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with honors in research from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

Justin Madill, DO, came to Helena from the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

Dr. Madill began his medical career in Montana, receiving both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Nursing from Montana State University. He attended Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his Emergency Medicine Residency at Madigan Army Medical Center/University of Washington.

Doug Kuntzweiler, MD is board certified with the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Kuntzweiler earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa. He completed his Family Practice residency at Sioux City, Iowa. After his training he had a private practice for six years in Boulder, Montana.

Dr. Kuntzweiler enjoys rock climbing, horseback riding, and anything outdoors.

Justin Knowles, M.D. comes to Helena from Lexington, Kentucky. Originally from Montana, Dr. Knowles earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Montana and went on to earn his Medical Degree from the University Of Washington School Of Medicine in Seattle. He completed his residency in Tucson at the University of Arizona.

A member of the US Army National Guard, Dr. Knowles enjoys being back in Montana with his wife and children.

Dr. William Gallea (pronounced "galley") is board certified with the American Board of Family Practice. He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Gallea completed his Family Practice residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. Dr. Gallea has been an ER physician at St. Peter's Hospital since 1993. He was also in private practice for 13 years in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Dr. Gallea has also served as an ER physician at Swedish Hospital in Seattle and Community Medical Center in Missoula.
